I got my Speediance Gym Monster around Halloween 2023, so as I write this review it's nearly 8 months that I have been using the machine for my strength training. So far 7600 minutes of total workout, and over a million pounds of workout volume, using it 4-6 days a week since purchase. I can't say enough good things about it. So many things have changed in my lifestyle, health and strength - I have a lot more desire to workout. The convenience of just using the large-sized touchscreen display to configure what I want to do, and it's just the cables and one accessory for the type of workout I'm doing makes all excuses to workout go away. I work from home, so I find myself adding a 1 15-30-45 min workout here in there. I have an audiobook/podcast to listen to ? How about adding a quick workout for that specific muscle during that time? It's just that easy for me. Tap tap, connect accessory and get to workout. No plates, no free weights. Now that I am 8 months in, I have also seen so many updates to the software after taking feedback from the community, including ideas I sent it myself. Pretty cool, because it can only get better from here as they have shown they're highly interested in taking ideas and executing them. So many updates so far. When I made the decision to purchase, and comparing with others, I didn't want another monthly subscription. I already pay for two other fitness companies for Peloton and Aviron, I wasn't looking for more. And Speediance gave/is giving lifetime membership. I never felt this looking forward to workout as I am now after a long time of lack of motivation for strength training. These six months have been amazing and it's cool that I can do progressive overload myself with high precision of how many pounds I want to. Also simplifies pyramiding. It's pretty annoying to do this with free weights, right? Looking forward to another year of more workouts.
Amazed to have this arrived in 6 days CHCH NZ. Easy to get going. Im really enjoying the ease of use, flexibility of the weight amount - push of a button to increase/decrease load. Im no longer in a gym filled with unhappy people looking at their phones and waiting for a machine to come free. I can open the garage door so its like Im outside. Skip through my workouts if I don't want a rest break...! The guided workouts are great and theres over 500 of them! Plus I can make my own now I know my way around. Speedience have thought of everything and I have no regrets. Its expensive but so is a personal trainer at $80 a pop! The only negative is the cheesy sales guy and repetitive marketing game they hound you with.
I couldn't love my GymMonster 2 more - and I haven't even explored all the possibilities yet! I got the Family Plus because I wanted the rower, and it was SO worth it. Rowing is great, as is skiing - and I can even use the GymMonster to simulate swimming, which will be a huge help in preparing for my next triathlon. I had been lifting heavy at the gym, but felt very unsafe doing it by myself, an issue that the GymMonster 2 entirely resolved because I can get in perfect position before turning on the weights, and I can get assist if I need it. This is definitely going to take my strength training to the next level! My boyfriend is also loving it (pictured) - he's 6'5" and still able to use everything well (and I have to say, he was a skeptic that a pulley based machine could replicate his heavy lifts - but he's a convert now:) Also, customer service has been amazing! The entire experience overall has been a joy - there's nothing like getting excited about a product and then having it over deliver:)
Here's my transformation thus far using speediance (and watching what I eat!!). Before pics were taken July 30th and after ones today. My first workout on the gym monster was July 29th. I'm getting more muscle and definition, but most importantly I feel stronger, my stability has improved, and I just feel good! Still have a weight goal I'm trying to reach. Happy Sunday, keep your motivation high and power through those days that you want to quit! ☺️
This has been the best purchace. it fits into a small foot print. You do not need a lot of equipment for the same workouts as being in a large gym. Over the last couple of months i have been less prone to injury because it spots you and you can immediately unload weight. I love that it is detachable from the wall so you are not risking damage to your house frame. My favorite part is that it is so much simpler to progressive over load because you can increase weight by small increments. I use this machine 4 days a week and look forward to it because of its convenience!
I absolutely love my gym pal! The ability to be able to use it in such a small space and have it out of the way for the rest of the day is awesome! I've already noticed improvements in my ability to lift much heavier since I've started with it in September. If you're on the fence with not knowing if this machine will be worth it or not it's definitely worth it. I've been able to create custom workouts with it as well enjoy the already made templates it offers.
I’m loving my new home gym setup! I bought the Speediance I’ve completed a week of a total body muscle building program and I’m in love with it!!! The machine coupled with the workouts are easy to follow. A huge bonus for me, living with rheumatoid arthritis makes working out and following a trainer-led program difficult, but I’ve found it not to be an issue at all! Additionally, the Official Speediance Community is an excellent source of information, support, and more!!
I’ve been waiting a long time for a compact total gym option. As a business owner and father of three young kids, it’s extremely challenging to fit in a workout especially factoring in getting to a gym outside of work hours. Home equipment never satisfied the strength building aspects I was looking for. My wife wasn’t into the idea of having a lot of heavy, immobile weight equipment at home…and I’ll admit she wasn’t wrong about how much space that would occupy! We would look into a lot of smart gym equipment over the years. But for various reasons nothing seemed to fit our needs. Finally we discovered Speediance. It was compact, it was mobile, it was hi tech, and it was priced right! We finally purchased it this Fall and while I remained a bit skeptical, as soon as I set up the machine I was so impressed. The quality of the equipment, the easy setup and simplicity of the interface immediately surpassed my expectations. The only downside fall may be a I have no reason to skip gym days now, though I don’t even want to with how much I can pack in on this machine. It’s also nice I don’t have to be worried with this around my kids and that my wife can use it to achieve her fitness goals too. I’m excited to get back to the fitness level I used to be at and feel healthier with Speediance. This machine is extremely impressive and honestly fun. I highly recommend to any prospectively buyer.

I am so happy that we made this purchase. My wife and I love that it has a partner mode so we can workout together. It saves what weight we are using and automatically adjusts when it's time to switch!!! So easy to set up and so many workouts that we can easily follow. The customer service is also top tier. A fantastic training device with completely new possibilities. I'm a fitness trainer and have been training for three-quarters of my life, and the GM2 has pleasantly surprised me for the first time in a long time. Chain sets, negative sets, etc. are simply impossible to do under normal circumstances and on my own. The multitude of functions and apps is a bit overwhelming at first, but it also makes the whole thing exciting. The hardware is excellently built; both visually and haptically, everything is worth the money. I'm still "onboarding" the software, so I can't give a final verdict yet. The resistance runs super smoothly, and everything can be quickly configured (accessories, pulley position, incline bench, rowing machine, etc.). So far, no complaints, except for the delivery – the pallet weighed 180 kg and was simply dumped in your yard, without an appointment, no prior call, just an email "will be delivered soon" – and even with the delivery driver, we couldn't carry the main unit, which weighed over 80 kg, up to the second floor (unpacked) because all the weight is in the lower part (where the motors are located). SO: three people, and then it works :-) . Update will follow if necessary. By the way: Delivery was rather TOO fast for me; after a few days, EVERYTHING (nothing was missing!) was perfectly packaged and undamaged in my yard, much sooner than expected. This machine is a game changer! I used to be quite athletic but experienced some injuries and got out of shape and out of the habit of going to the gym. Speediance has improved my ability to get back into the lifting game. Well-thought out workouts and lifting programs that implement an AI coach that will choose the amount of weight you should lift. No awkward experiences of waiting for a machine or bench to open up, or feel like you have someone waiting for you. No worries that you may be watched or judged. Just received my Gym Pal via Fedex today and writing this after my very first session. Prior i used adjustable dumbbells and it was a big hassle to switch between different weights. That is why I initially i bought Gym Pal. It was very smooth transitioning between different way. It is total game changer for my workout. If you live in a small space like me i can say this product is perfect for you! Zero assembly required. I tightened 2 screws on my adjustable bench and that was it! Hoping to reach advanced classes!
Bought the Gym monster in February 2024, received in March. Previously had a full rack with free weights that never got used. Once I received the Gym monster I started using it daily 5-7 times a week, from quick 5 minute HIIT workouts to long lifting sessions. The fact I can easily switch weights and workout quickly with plans I can follow or customize has kept me going. Where before I would stare at the old rack wondering what I wanted to do and how much weight did I want to move around. This has definitely made my life easier and keeps me working out! Easily 5 stars up to this point!!
A great device!! The onscreen instructions and prompts really motivate me to work out everyday. I have never wanted to go to a gym, but i find myself working out at home nearly every day. it is so convenient to use and takes up very little space when folded.
This product has definitely changed my life and its value for the better! It's simply unbelievable how much I still enjoy training on it 3-4 times a week after just over two months! This not exactly cheap piece of sports equipment is definitely worth the money! I'm 49 years old and I've seen measurable success in the statistics regarding my body measurements. The device was recommended by a friend who now owns it. Please keep it up and don't get tired of updating and developing!
As an engineer I appreciate the great design - packaging, solid and high quality design, ease of setup (<15 min, no tools), safety features, broad scope of software, and continuous improvement (e.g. blog, FB). Space efficient standalone design is great as is the lifetime membership- way to disrupt the home fitness category that typically overcharges customers. Software is easy to use - very detailed, so looking forward to creating a customized training plan. Free lift has been a great start to experience the many options, all being smooth and safe (e.g. barbell clamp for finger bt, assist mode). Great system- you WILL NOT be disappointed :).
You can’t beat the versatility of this machine with a such a small footprint. Great investment! 2 months in and nothing has kept my interest like the Speediance Gym Monster. I find myself doing extra workouts on off days of my program because how much I enjoy this equipment. When you have 2 little ones including a newborn it’s not easy to find time to get a quality workout in but you can with this machine. So many options to get a quality full body workout in with only 30 to 60 minutes to spare. GREAT PRODUCT!
The Gym Pal is great - it doesn't take up a lot of space in our gym room and gives such an awesome workout (happy to share that I am feeling the soreness from my workouts hahah). The app is great and has a lot of plans and individual exercises with pretty great guidance for beginners. I'm looking forward to seeing my results and progression over the next few months!

The Speediance Smart Gym is amazing. It has cut down my work out times by nearly half with better, more targeted results. And the space saving from traditional weight set ups is incredible. Very happy with my purchase.
It’s been a great addition to our family - our teenage boys love using it just as much as us! The biggest issue is coordinating our workout schedule😄 It’s easy to use and super convenient having it right at home!

Unbox it, connect it to power and turn it on. Complete the on-screen calibration if prompted, and you are ready to train. No drilling or wall mounting.
Does it require a Wi-Fi connection?
You can train offline at any time. Connect to Wi-Fi for software updates, workout syncing and the full content library.
How do I choose the right workout mode?
Select your goal on the screen, for example muscle building, fat loss or cardio. Follow the recommended sessions, or build your own workout.
How do I adjust the resistance?
From the touchscreen, with voice control, or from the Bluetooth Ring at your fingertips, without breaking your set.
Does it receive software updates?
Yes. The machine notifies you when updates are available. Keep it connected to Wi-Fi for the latest features and performance improvements.
